Why use this resource?
Teachers often look for resources that are themed for different times of the year. This helps students stay interested and celebrate holidays. However, sometimes these activities are mostly fluff and not a lot of content! My bundle provides two adorable bat-themed activities. One perfect for math and one for science.
Students will improve their fine motor skills. When students actively move the clip to the correct number, it helps them connect the material better. It’s also a great resource to have in busy corners, free-time areas, and other spaces in your classroom for busywork.
Your students will also learn more about bats with bat anatomy worksheets. These worksheets are for the external parts of a bat and are elementary level.
How to use:
Counting Cards:
You will need to cut out the cards after printing the resource. You may also want to laminate the cards.
Anatomy Worksheets:
First, study the labeled anatomy sheet together as a class. This can be part of a larger discussion on bats. Afterward, test your student’s knowledge with the fill in the blanks worksheet. See how many parts of the bat they can remember.
