Why use this resource?
This is a great resource to get children learning about animals and their behavior or beginning to learn how to track animals in the wilderness. It’s also a great way to teach animal adaptations and how animals survive in their environment. The worksheets are great in the classroom, homeschool, or in a camp/club scout setting.
How to use:
It is important to note that these worksheets may be difficult if there is no prior knowledge of animal tracks. If you have not taught animal tracks to your students before, I suggest introducing these worksheets with my Animal Tracks Poster Guide as a reference.
There are four different worksheets included. Each worksheet has the same instructions and all have an answer key. Students will need four different color writing utensils (red, blue, green, and pink). First, they will circle each animal track with the corresponding color instructed on the worksheet. After, they will count how many of each track they found.
